Summer Wedding Flip Flops-YES!!

It's the first long weekend of the summer and it's gorgeous out so I'm thinking flip flops!  When I was younger flip flops were called something else, I won't mention it here but it is now considered a type of underwear (LOL), and were plastic and only good for one beachy season but now....OH NOW they've come a loooong way!

Destination & beach weddings are big business now and why on earth, as much as I LOVE them, would you wear a pair of heels.....especially when there are some fantastically cute flip flops now!

Check out these one for a bride...and for $11seriously you can't go wrong!

Prefer something in blue with a touch of bejeweled these are a stunner!  and the peacock feather-so pretty!

I have a pair of these puppies studded with swarovsky crystals (of course I do-this isn't shocking anyone I know:)) and they are a little pricier but worth every penny!!  I've had them for three years and walked all over Italy with them-comfortably!

Love the dragon fly crystal adornment on this Kate Spade shoe
And for those of you that are a true beach purist this one is for you!

You can have the prettiness of a fancy shoe with the ability to run your manicured piggies through the hot sand....ahhh!

With all this inspiration go out and get yourself a pedi and a pair of pretty new thongs.....oh I mean...you know what I mean:-)

Blossoms are in the air

Who doesn't love spring and eagerly await the blossoming trees?  Vancouver is a destination spot for those who travel in search of the prettiest blooms-I was told this by some Japanese students and they know their beautiful blossoms!!

Let's start with blossoms on the dress......

Don't you LOVE the name of this gown?  And it is stunning!!  Showing white sakura blossoms intertwined with silver metallic branches and iridescent sequins with a full skirt of tulle and silk taffeta.

We've seen dresses now how about some shoes? Imagine these peeping out from under your dress-so cute!

But if heels are not your thing how about a pair of Uggs?

Don't overlook your stationery-it sets the tone of your wedding and is your all important "First Impression"
Smockpaper
Letterpress, when a printing press is used to imprint text or an image onto the stationery and adds texture to the invite, invitations are so beautiful!  LOVE this one!  For added luxury couldn't you see a few crystals in the centers of some of the blossoms?

I love cake, and anything cake like really, so let them eat it!

WELCOME!!!

Hello and welcome to my very first blog post-I have to say this is more than a little stressful....my first post!  What should I write about?  A friend, the fantastic Jeanette from Delovely Creative, said write something fun and about things I love, like flowers and shoes!,  so I thought how perfect two things I know something about.

Spring is coming, at some point soon I hope, so how about some photos of some of my spring bouquets

this one is comprised of peonies, tulips, lisianthus, ranunculus, roses and lily of the valley-the scent was unbelievable!  There were strands of tiny sheer ribbon, you get the hint of them there at the bottom, that I attached crystals too.  Wouldn't  a pair of shoes like these, by Steve Madden, go perfectly?

Are tulips your spring flower of choice?  They are the little flower that could!  They spring like nothing else!  I designed these bouquets out of tulips, the Bride has all parrot tulips and the bridesmaid's are "ruffle cut" (yes, their official name that I just made up:)) tulips.

You'll notice the stunning pave crystals I used in the bride's bouquet-blinged up tulips-who knew but worked so wonderfully!  I love these pretty shoes with just a tiny row of crystals at the top of the "peep" takes this subtle shoe to WOW (just like the crystals in the bouquet)
